Alucobond is a colored aluminum composite sheet on one side, consisting of a plastic or mineral filled core covered with aluminum sheet on both sides. Alucobond is a product produced by Alcan Singen GmbH in Germany since 1969.
USAGE AREAS:
As a building element, Alucobond provides unlimited freedom to architects and practitioners in interior and exterior applications. It is a preferred coating material all over the world with its lightness, high strength, flexibility, providing flat surfaces and supporting other building elements.
FEATURES:
- The painted surface of alucobond, which can be found in many matte, metallic standard colors, spectra or special colors, has been made available for exterior applications with the UV-resistant fluoropolymer oven varnish (PVDF) top coating system.
- Alucobond is produced in different core thicknesses depending on the place of use, wind load and application form.
- According to German DIN 4102-1 norm, alucobond, which is formed with plastic core material, has B2 class fire resistance certificate. Again according to the German DIN4102 norm, the non-flammable alucobond, which is formed with a special mineral filled core material, has A2 class fire resistance certificate.
- The most important feature of Alucobond composite panel is that they can be shaped coldly with hand tools. All kinds of cutting, mowing, drilling and bending operations can be applied with hand machines, panel saws and composite panel cutting machines.
